Moving up!

Well we started on the waiting list as number 21 last December we are now number 13. We are slowly but surely moving our way up the list. As of now they are as I call it guesstimating we will be matched around June of 2013. Thank you to all of our family and friends who continually keep us in their prayers on this long but worthwhile journey!

Waiting

 As things are now it looks like we may be matched in December at which point we will have to pay the Thai government $9500. 6 months later we will then travel which will be around $5000. We have been able to save and raise a lot but still have a long way to go any little bit helps!

Waiting list

Jason and I submitted our Dossier paperwork last week and today we received word that we are finally on the waiting list, number 21! Please keep us in your prayers I know that God has our daughter or son already picked out for us, Just please pray for guidance for those matching us up.

Dossier

Well we finally got our Dossier back from the Thai embassy! Now we just have to get some paperwork signed at the bank and get some passport photos done. We should be able to get it all done and in the mail by Friday, then we will be put on the official waiting list! We are so excited to be onto the next step. The waiting time is between 15 to 18 months to be assigned a child. Please keep us in your prayers over these months both for us and for our soon to be child!

Sugar Scrub Sale SOLD OUT

Thank you all who supported us and ordered sugar scrub!! We have some of the best family and friends ever!! We will probably have more to sell at the end of November in time for Christmas. I am hoping to have a peppermint and cinnamon scent. Check back for details!

Progress Report

We have finally completed our Home Study and it was approved on September 30th! We have also sent of our I-800a forms and will be sending off our dossier to be certified this week. We have come along way and hope to OFFICIALLY be on the waiting list by the end of the year. Please continue to pray for us on this journey.

Home Study

We had our first of two meetings with our Social worker yesterday. She did our individual interviews, mainly just getting to know us better. And then did one with us together asking about how we met and our marriage. It all went great! And she went ahead and did a walk through of the house as well and didn't find anything wrong, which I was a little nervous about. We have already set up our next meeting for next Thursday September1! I can't believe that after we finish that meeting we just have to wait for our report to be typed up and we are done with the Home Study! If feels so great to actually have something completed!!.

Our next step will be to send in an I-800A form and when it has cleared our Dossier, then we are put on a waiting list to be assigned to a child!
